YUMMY for sandwiches, burgers or anything you like!

Garlic Flat Bread:
2 2/3 cup flour, sifted
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup shortening
4 cloves garlic, finely minced
3/4 cup hot water

Sift flour, salt and baking powder into a bowl. Add Shortening and garlic and work into the flour until it is a coarse crumbly mixture.

Mix in hot water and and knead into a ball. Knead for 3 minutes, adding more flour if it is too sticky, more water if too dry.
Cover in the bowl and let rest for 20 minutes.

Divide dough into 10 sections. Roll into a ball and make as smooth as possible.

Roll into a circle with a rolling pin until about 1/6- 1/8 inch thick.
Or you can use a tortilla press if you have one!

Preheat a dry cast iron or non stick pan over medium heat.
Place flat bread on hot pan and cook 30 seconds. Flip and cook 30 and flip ONCE more for 30 more seconds, the bubbles will form during the 3rd flip and you will get the little charred spots.(times will depend on your heat evenness, and conduction of your pan, watch them carefully)
